Due to a 0-0 draw after extra time, the penalty shootouts had to bring a decision. It was Senegal that won the penalties with 4-2. Ahmed Musa is the player with the most appearances for Nigeria, with 105 matches at the time of writing, while Rashidi Yekini is the all-time top scorer with 37 goals. The biggest win was against Dahomey when Nigeria scored ten goals and conceded 1 (10-1). The biggest defeat Nigeria faced was against British Togoland with a final score of 7-0. Nigeria won the Afcon title three times (1980, 1994 and 2013).
